Locally Thankful: OKC Police Champion
A Bright Spot Indeed!
The WesTen District has launched a Locally Thankful: OKC Police Champion initiative to quarterly recognize and honor a police officer from the OKCPD Southwest Division. The Locally Thankful initiative’s first recipient is MsGT Stanley McMullen, a 23 year veteran. He is also the officer who prompted the idea to create this ongoing opportunity for the community to honor police officers who serve in the WesTen area. Each recipient will be selected based upon community service guidelines and honored by the WesTen District.
McMullen, was surprised with the announcement at WesTen District’s Annual Community Celebration and Auction last month. It was the perfect platform to launch this initiative of expressing appreciation for those who serve and protect us. Bryan Taylor, a WesTen business owner (Taylor Foam), board member, and reserve police officer, presented the inaugural award. Each officer, including McMullen, will not only receive the recognition but a thank you package that includes dinner for two at Castle Falls Restaurant & Venue, transportation for the dinner from King’s Worldwide Transportation, and an entertainment gift card from Atlas Paving Company.
We are locally thankful.
